TURIN INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR: HOW TO GET TO LINGOTTO FIERE BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The Turin International Book Fair, taking place at Lingotto Fiere from 14 to 18 October, is easily reachable by metro: Lingotto station is located 6 minutes from Porta Nuova railway station and 9 minutes from Porta Susa railway station.
During the opening hours of the Fair, train frequency on the metro will be enhanced as the number of passengers rises.
In every metro station, and in both directions, a turnstile is reserved for contactless payments: it is equipped with a specific reader, which is easily identifiable by the card network logos and by the signage located on the floor.
The ticket being purchased is equivalent to an ordinary “City 100” ticket: the fare is €1,70, it is valid for 100 minutes on the whole urban network, and within the validity period passengers are allowed to board connecting services.
Within every metro station there are ticket vending machines from which, besides the “City 100!”, you can purchase the Daily ticket and the Multicity 6-City-ticket electronic carnet.
On Thursady 14, Sunday 17 and Monday the Fair will open at 10:00 a.m. and will close at 8:00 p.m. On Friday 15 and Saturady 16 the Fair will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. On Monday 18 October, last opening day, the metro will run until 10:00 p.m. (last departure from Bengasi at 9:30 p.m.).
If you are arriving at Lingotto railway station, you can get to the fair on foot by passing through Oval. Lingotto railway station can also be reached by using routes 14, 41, 63, 63/, 74. Lingotto Fiere can be reached by using route 8 (bus stop n.51 “Bisalta”).
